Print and Print and Make a Pinny
Thursday 8th August 2024 for 2 days — Cost: £120
Tutor: Alison Hulme
Bookings for this course have now ended
You may have seen Alison demonstrating on the Art Van Go stand and wearing one of her colourful “pinnys”. These 2 days will be spent printing your fabric and making your own pinny.
We will start this fun 2 day course thinking about the colour and design - what colours do you love and want to use? Do you have a theme in mind?
We will be using a combination of gelli plates, wooden blocks, stencils and thermofax* screens - to create your own unique lengths of fabric. *Similar to silk screen printing the Thermofax screens use light and no chemicals to produce an image on the “screen”. I have a library of over 500 designs for you to choose from
After creating your fabric on the first day. You can continue printing while also cutting out and stitching your pinny on the second.
This course is suitable for both beginners and the more experienced. No experience of dressmaking is required.
