EXPRESS IT WITH ALL THAT GLISTERS : A MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA

This workshop is for both painters and textile enthusiasts: beginners and experienced alike, in fact anyone who would like to express your ideas with sparkling substances: glittering papers and fabrics, metallic paints and even sequins and beads.

Painters might dare to combine their love of paint with collage; textile enthusiasts might dare to include paint with fabric. The workshop will start, and be interspersed with ,’ Magic Lantern ‘ slide shows about the characteristics of the early 20th century movement of Expressionism and how it developed into Abstract Art.

There will be directed sessions to inspire and inform your creativity in how you compose the images of your own expressive ideas whether they be naturalistic, abstracted or purely abstract. All, no doubt, will be either dangerously thrilling or serenely calming; either way certainly superbly ravishing!

Materials cost for textile enthusiasts - £5.00

Choice from a vast supply of fabrics, threads, ribbons, beads and sequins as well as PVA, glue brushes and spare scissors.

You will need to bring your sewing machine, needles and any of the above in your own possession.

Materials cost for painters - £5.00

Drawing boards, Canvases, Acrylic papers, acrylic paints, palettes and brushes.

You will need to bring protective clothing, two water jars, some tissues and any of the above in your own possession.
