If you, like so many others, have a fascination for hares, then here is an opportunity for you to learn how to paint one in just one day.

You will follow a particular system of painting in watercolours which Richard will explain and demonstrate step-by-step and stage by stage. At times there will be instructions about how to achieve certain effects by mixing and layering which will be realised with coloured pencils as well as paint. Follow his system and you will be amazed by your achievement.

Please bring with you:

  • A watercolour paint box which includes the following colours: Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Red / Scarlet, Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue and Cerulean Blue. This following make is excellent, has all the colours, can be purchased from the following make and is reasonably priced:
    Winsor & Newton Cotman Sketchers Pocket Box Watercolour Paint 12 Half Pans plus
  • Two water pots, a paint palette with at least eight indentations and some tissues.
  • Two good quality paint brushes: sizes three and five approximately. Pro Arte round brushes are excellent..

Richard will have stretched watercolour paper on drawing boards in advance of the course especially for you. He will also bring coloured pencils for you to borrow.
