Water soluble fabric is such a magical ingredient, allowing you to create intricate weaves, lace and grids from scraps of fabric and tangles of threads. You can use it to create edgings, jewellery, sculptural vessels and weave-like structures. Best of all, it all looks so much more intricate and complicated than it really is!

The day will start with a discussion about how water-soluble fabric works. You will look at Jayne’s extensive sample collection and gain an insight into her intuitive design process.

You will then create experimental samples. There are No Rules, you can take this workshop in whatever direction you want! Jayne will be there to guide and encourage you every step of the way. It's amazing, once you start playing, how the ideas start to flow!

Everyone will be encouraged to use this technique in their own way and leave with a head full of ideas and possibilities. There will be plenty of suggestions for uses in dressmaking, up-cycling, interiors and art.
