Come and explore the wonderful possibilities of gel plate printing with textiles.

You will start with the basics of gel printing on paper, then move on to printing on and with fabric. This is a super quick and fun process so lots of prints can be achieved in a short space of time!

You will explore printing with textile processes, including patchwork, embroidery, weave and fabric manipulation. The gel plate reveals the structure of our textiles as we have never seen them before, it celebrates their beauty. It is a whole new way of looking at our fabric stash and the possibilities are endless…

You will be make prints with thread, explore textures, use masks and embrace happy accidents. You will leave full of inspiration and a stack of experimental prints and fabrics.

Please Bring

• An apron or wear old clothes. Gel printing can get messy!
• Any fabric or threads that you would like to experiment with
• Gel plate (the tutor will have some to borrow - please advise when booking if you need to borrow one)

Materials Cost

All materials including plates, fabrics, paints and paper will be provided.
The materials fee is £15 per person.
