Course Description

A hands-on day of botanically inspired, printmaking.

You will start the workshop by sketching the shapes of simple leaves and flowers; these can then be imaginatively developed using a variety of mark-making techniques. Using a selection of lino cutters, the marks will be transferred onto lino. Once your lino is cut, you will go on to explore mixing colours, layers, and applying the blocks onto a range of papers in order to achieve different results.

You will be printing by hand, without the need for a press, a transferrable skill that you will be able to take away and develop further.
