Polly Woolstone
I trained in Illustration and Graphic Design at Canterbury Art College followed by a PGCE at Bristol University. I taught Art and Design and Textiles for over 30 years in Cheshire, initially in a Comprehensive School then moving as Head of Art to a Dance and Performing Arts School.
Since retiring I have travelled widely visiting India on many occasions and have lead several textile trip to different regions to study in depth the variety and wealth of textile heritage. I always travel with a sketchbook and camera.
Now based in Oxford, I work from my garden studio. My work reflects my travels, both home and abroad. Working in mixed media my work combines my love of colour, texture and mark-making. I exhibit and teach locally.
