Oliver!

It is a ‘search for love’, Lionel Bart once said about the musical ‘Oliver’: young boy Oliver yearns for his mother, Nancy hungers for Bill Sikes’ love, and even Fagin seeks it in his gang of youngsters. We will learn a range of songs from the musical as we explore this theme, at the same time following the journey Oliver takes from his beginnings in the workhouse to the twists and turns of life on the streets.

The course will begin with a range of warm-up activities to get our voices primed and ready, and throughout the sessions we will take time to build our repertoire of songs – some will be simple unison numbers, others will include harmony parts.  Whatever your prior vocal experience, Jenni will ensure that she works sensitively with your voices to give you the confidence to sing. 

There will be a performance of our achievements on the Tuesday afternoon at around 4pm.
