My passion for Chinese painting and calligraphy started at a young age and as a teenager, I learnt the art from a master of the Lingnan School. The Lingnan School came about in the early twentieth century in Southern China and combined Chinese traditions with concepts and techniques from different cultures, such as Japan and the West.

While the media I use for my paintings are largely traditional Chinese, I like exploring different compositions and topics. Outside of my day job, I am a tutor at the Chinese Brush Painters Society, giving regular workshops and online classes.
