I honed my creative embroidery skills with City and Guilds, but I have always taken a very fluid and organic approach to work - just get stuck in, work and let it grow. I am always learning and try to move in my own style and my own way – rules are there to be broken.

Since taking up embroidery I have stitched and exhibited with textile groups and held solo shows. I now sew with the Alchemist’s Needle, based in Hampshire. I describe myself as a textile artist, but with plenty of mixed media and have more recently become more interested in traditional embroidery techniques too - Goldwork being my favourite.

I live near the Hampshire/ Wiltshire border and am constantly inspired by the ancient landscapes around me and their spirituality. I love hares and crows and standing stones and exploring the effects of archaeology on our land.
